This story takes place in Virginia during the 1860's. Betsy, a plantation owner's wife is torn between obeying her husband and following her conscience. When Betsy witnesses a brutal beating of a young, black slave, she can no longer remain silent. Join Betsy to see a young woman during a male dominated world, stand up for not only herself, but for the slaves that do not have a voice of their own.
