Cachitos Dulces is a glimpse into barrio life in Las Cruces, New Mexico during the early 1950's. It is a collection of character sketches of neighbors and family members in a small community through the eyes of a little girl. There is warmth, humor, sadness, and lots of love sprinkled in the everyday life of these very special people. Actual photographs are used to illustrate the text. This is a nostalgic light read that speaks to the heart of barrio life.
