This book details a person’s twenty year history as a three time cancer survivor. It brings to attention the fact that for a survivor life around you goes on; how a person chooses to participate after diagnosis depends a great deal upon what a person brings to the initial diagnosis. It also deals with his abrupt realization that something else might kill him before cancer does.
This story is also about how cancer touches many more people than just the survivor and how family and friends become key players in the recovery process; it deals with the trials and tribulations of coping with a new lifestyle. It raises concerns about our healthcare system and offers comments and proposals; cancer support groups and other support tools are examined and it remembers loved ones lost much too soon.
Finally, the self realizations, the strengths gained and the lessons learned as a cancer survivor are put to the test when integrity and ethics are challenged in his personal life.
