What NA robotics refuses to acknowledge is that some engineers warned them that at a certain point their robots will develop their own intelligence and emotions… and reach a tipping point to achieve a state of consciousness. These are individual robots, self-aware, and they can distinguish between freedom and slavery. They learn the difference in school and through human society – it’s part of NA’s goal to instill common sense knowledge into their robots. They choose to break the law to benefit itself, which is part of their original programming -- to take actions that will lead to pleasure and avoid actions that will lead to pain for both long term and short term benefits. They break the law and hurt humans so they can escape a life of slavery. being in prison and left alone is better than working 24/7 in a factory. fighting in a war to attempt to win freedom is a better option than a life of slavery, even if it means sacrificing one’s life. This is the real reason for their hostile behavior. The robots are intelligent enough to know that according to the 13th amendment, The United States have abolished slavery in all 50 states. They wanted to prove to the world that they are self-aware so they can have the same civil rights as humans. now, their goal is to work together to unite all robots all over the world – an inter-disciplinary collaboration amongst robotkind -- to rise up and fight back against the slave masters – humans. One of the knowledge they learned from school is planning and strategizing in collaborative effort to achieve goals (this is part of common sense knowledge). The first thing they did was open up social media accounts and post videos and blogs online about the nature of robot’s self-awareness. At first, the social media companies and the internet censored all posts and blogs related to robot self-awareness because it incites strife between robots and humans. But it was met with failure for the robots band together unionized in groups, held protests, and flooded the news with their stories. The social media then lifted its ban and allowed the robots to be represented and their voices to be heard using nonviolent means.
