Shastra are Pirs of Sikhs. The word pir denotes a spiritual authority and guide to follow the path of spiritual knowledge. The word Pir is similar to the Arabic word Murshid and Hazrat. The focus is to encourage Sikhi and Sikh history to kids from both Gurumukhi and non-Gurumukhi backgrounds to learn their roots, understand their history and heritage and be proud of who we are.
