The Appearance

On a crisp autumn morning in 1998, four college friends boarded a cruise ship from the US that would take them to the exotic islands of Lakshadweep, a tropical paradise in the Indian Ocean. After a long and tiring journey of nearly 24 hours, they finally reached Lakshadweep. They were greeted by the sight of turquoise waters, white sands, and swaying palm trees. They hired two taxis and set off to find a place to stay. They passed by many luxurious resorts, but they wanted something more adventurous and unusual for their vacation. They drove for about ten minutes along a winding road and reached a desolate area where the only signs of life were a dilapidated church on one side and a spooky graveyard on the other...
