The most common question people ask when I explain that I have translated the Aramaic New Testament, because I believe the original was written in Aramaic, and that Jesus and the Jewish people spoke Aramaic as their native language, is: "How similar is the Aramaic to the King James version or other translations?" This is a comparison of some passages in the Peshitta and the Greek New Testament exemplifying the superiority of the Aramaic Peshitta to the Greek readings in not a few places.
