Habitat Stamp Illustration Lesson Plan

The learner will study color, painting techniques, choose from four types of animals to paint; turkey, duck, pheasant, or trout and the habitat they are found in. The learner will follow precise contest rules for submitting their entry to the stateʼs Department of Natural Resources (DNR). The second part of the assignment will be to create a tear sheet or magazine article about you and your stamp entry for advertising your work. Each area of our lesson plans not only help in the learners artistic skills but also each lesson emphasizes the use and need of the primary skills of learning; reading, writing, and math. You will find additional support in charts and graphs that will help in the learners process.
