A Guide for Adventurers

Riddles & Runes is a fantasy role-playing game in which the players explore imaginary worlds by taking on the role of characters they create. There is no set list of roles or classes to choose from, so players are free to come up with their own unique roles for their characters. This guide provides an introduction to the game, including a step-by-step guide for creating a character, a description of spells and magic, and rules for character development. This book, along with its companion guide, “The Way of the Storyteller,” will explain the basic game mechanics. You will also need some dice: one 6-sided, and one 12-sided. If you are already familiar with role-playing games, Riddles & Runes will offer a back-to-basics gaming experience designed to revive the spirit of classic games of the past.
