Well, I have to confess that even after the smorgasbord of silliness already picked through, the Cartesian manimo (is that the right spelling, even though apparently it’s not actually a WORD?), the Silly Will (just managed to stop myself saying “Willy” … ), the bats with their existential angst, I did NOT see Lamarckian Evolution coming: “The Max Planck Institute for Psychiatry in Munich discovered that during traumatic experiences (methyl groups) get attached to genes … and (THEREFORE because we LIKE this one it IS so) our genetic code passes down not only physical characteristics but (to a certain extent) EXPERIENCES.” You would think a wildlife specialist, who knows an AWFUL lot about nuts and seeds, would not make this particular leap.
