La Esmeralda

Adapted by Victor Hugo from his own novel, Notre Dame de Paris, La Esmeralda tells the story of a beautiful Gypsy dancer, and the men who are enchanted by her. The handsome Captain Phoebus, the sinister priest, Claude Frollo, and the misshapen bell-ringer Quasimodo. All of whom find themselves entangled in an immense drama. Rarely preformed and even more rarely published in English, La Esmeralda is an almost lost work of Victor Hugo.
