I've existed in the Creative Industry for all of my professional life, spanning a career of 45 years. In this time I have operated as an Actor, Director, Producer and sometime Writer - while raising a family in a culture that just doesn't seem to want to settle for one identity, since its inception in 1652. My work in all genres has always been, and will remain, rooted in this melting pot of our unique history, past and present. I acknowledge my own dysfunctionalism inherited from that matrix for generations, and embrace it to express my creative passion. In the course of my Acting career, I have rubbed shoulders with some of Hollywood's A-Listed actors in films produced on African soil, and soon learned that I could achieve more career satisfaction by diminishing that connection in search of my own Creative Voice. "If you chase the money, you will always be a follower. If you follow your heart, eventually the money will follow you." This is my life's motto, developed over time, after too much rejection any creative person should have to endure. I have launched myself as a fiction writer, and have chosen the novel medium to open new doors for me to enter. My first offering is a series of four novels, following the same character from 16 years old, to his untimely death at 60. I like to think of my style as "fictional autobiography" in the tradition of 'TragiComedy' - the two masks of a smile and a frown depicted in the early history of Theatre.
