My passion for writing developed at a young age. I remember being in seventh grade and writing my first long story. Written on yellow lined paper, the kind of paper my dad used for work, I wrote and wrote. The Fiction story was about a girl who's family member was hit by a car. Looking back, I'm sure it was inspired by the numerous people who were hit by cars in front of my house as a child. Fast forward to college. I started taking creative non-fiction writing classes that challenged me to no end. It's hard to write about the painful experiences in your life. Experiences that haunt you on a daily basis. I never stopped writing in college. Whether it was for class or for leisure I never put my pen down. Most of my work is based on personal experiences over the years. But my hope is that these stories will give you someone to relate to. Someone that can help you feel like you aren't so alone.
