T. Jacira Paolino (formerly Castro) is a polyglot with a degree in languages and a masters in IT, who has lived in the US, México, Ecuador, Chile, Italy, and the UK. She has worked as a Simultaneous Interpreter and a Technical Translator, as well as a Multilingual Web Developer. She currently resides in south Florida. This story, which Ms. Paolino originally wrote in Italian entitled, “La storia della ciglia dell’orso grizzly”, won the Silver Award (2nd place) in the XXIV National 50 & Più competition for Prose, in Italy in 2006. It has also received 4 out of 4 stars from the OnlineBookClub.
