“Ruth lives with her husband, Ian, in the Wenatchee Valley—known as the apple capital of the world—in Washington State. She has had many opportunities to express her interest in food as a baker, classroom teacher, health and nutrition coordinator, bed-and-breakfast innkeeper, teahouse proprietor, and instructor of cooking classes. Through it all, she developed a passion to share a cookbook that would have something for everyone—a one-of-a-kind cookbook with stories and recipes from yesteryear to the present that shares creative ways to keep treasured recipes alive with choices to fit your eating plan. When Ruth is not immersed in a new cookbook or trying out a new recipe, she loves to spend her spare time with her family, friends, and two dogs. Her favorite place is the front porch swing, where you may find her sipping a cup of tea, reading, knitting, or just savoring the moment.”
