- The gentleman that helped us to teach our children is Tom Winterstein, a retired NY State Trooper, and we absolutely love him! Tom is a consummate professional in every sense of the word, he's highly skilled and frankly...there just aren't enough positive adjectives to describe him. Our children are prepared to drive anywhere! Roberta D.(Satisfied Parent) - I cannot emphasize how much this has meant to my daughter’s growth as a driver and I would recommend this to anyone teaching a child how to drive. Mark R. (Satisfied Parent) - This is a long overdue “How-To” from a professional instructor of professional drivers. The Making of a Safe Driver is a must for every parent and friend who is tasked with teaching someone to drive. It takes the angst out of a very stressful duty. I wish I had read it before I got in the car with my kids behind the wheel. Edmond S. Culhane, Jr. - Superintendant Rhode Island State Police (Ret.)
