Albert Wang is a writer who combines his memoirs with new media techniques inspired by Facebook and Twitter. He considers himself to be a postmodern Samuel Pepys, describing the most personal and intimate details of his own usually mundane life using the impersonal format of text messages. He has collaborated/conspired with his fictional alter ego, conceptual artist qi peng, in various performance pieces that intersect fictional adventures with the reality TV of Mr. Wang's life. Currently he lives in Salt Lake City and sometimes works in his hometown of New York City for special projects. qi peng is a fictional conceptual artist who has been exhibited in various places including Aqua Art Miami Art Fair/MyArtspace.com, Central Booking; Dam, Stuhltrager Gallery; envoy enterprises; the Projects Gallery; The Lab at Belmar; modern8 Gallery; James Cohan Gallery/NURTUREart; Claire Oliver Gallery/NURTUREart; Metro Pictures/Visual AIDS; Art Raw Gallery; and Anna Kustera.
