I began driving commercially about 1986 when I hired on to a small outfit that needed someone to deliver their products to home customers in a pick-up truck, from there I progressed to bigger and bigger trucks until in 1995 I got my first Big Truck job. I started my 18 wheeler career as a flatbed driver and have since hauled loads in dry vans, refrigerated vans and tanks and am currently working in the mid-west hauling milk from farm to producer. This book was written during down times on the road and gives my own unique perspective and is the truth about trucking as a career.
