Don E. Gardner is a retired university administrator whose 36-year career included positions at Arizona State University, Portland State University, The University of Wyoming, Florida Atlantic University, Winthrop University (SC), Weber State University (UT) and California State University, Long Beach. Recently widowed, Don currently lives in Ogden, Utah, about twelve blocks east of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers Museum. On the grounds of the museum is a mill stone used by his third great grandfather, Benjamin Gardner, in one of the mills he operated in Weber County in the 1850s.
