Corey-Jan Albert is an award-winning playwright, songwriter, and educator. Her creative work has been published and produced throughout the southeast and she has conducted classes and workshops with a wide range of people, helping them explore the theatrical power of rituals and words. She says, “By heightening our rituals with an emphasis on performance, we involve ourselves more deeply and tangibly. We bring ourselves closer to the inherent emotional power of our rituals. And, in doing so, we reclaim them as our own.” Ms. Albert grew up in New York, earned her undergraduate degree from Emory University and her Masters degree in communications and performance studies from Georgia State University. She lives in Roswell, GA with her husband, son, daughter and two goofy dogs.
