Doug Robinson began his writing career with a childhood memoir which led to a history/biography of the street he grew up on. The research for these two books pointed him to his first of novels, The Last Bayman, which deals with Prohibition and rum-running in his hometown of Amityville, NY. The Call of the Bay is the sequel to The Last Bayman. Doug was also instrumental in getting thirty of his Amityville friends to write the group memoir, Growing Up in Amityville, which he contributed to and edited. Proceeds for the sale of this book are donated to the Amityville Historical Society. Doug also authored A Little Forgery Between Friends and Murder in Beach Haven, subjects close to his heart. He is currently working on the prequel to The Last Bayman; the fictional story of Frank Chichester and Amityville from the period of 1892 to his death in 1914. This will complete the Amityville trilogy albeit in the 2-3-1 order
