Hi my name is Cheryl Redmond Powe and I am a first time Children's author who previously worked at a daycare/school and found my inspiration to write books from working with children. "The Adventures of the Humblebees (Mikey's 1st lesson)" is the first installment of my books and the latest episode is "The Humblebees~Kaeja and Aisha, making friends." I attended Kennedy King College where I studied Early Child Development and later at Chicago State University where I studied Psychology and Sociology. I currently work as a First Grade Teacher (Facilitator Aide) at Woodson elementary school in Chicago with the ALO program (Additional Learning Opportunity). It is a program initiative to help give students more time to work on their math and reading skills.
