This memoir is based on Whitworth's involvement with Johnny A. Walker's spy operation. Walker was a Chief Warrant Officer, USN and Whitworth's Division Officer. Whitworth was a First Class Petty Officer, USN. Both were arrested mid-1985. Whitworth is the only one that went to trial (5-mounts, 1986, San Francisco). In the press, the case was known as The Walker Spy Ring, because it also consisted of Johnny's brother, Art, and his son, Michael, unknown to Whitworth. Whitworth did not testify. His side of the story has not been told. This memoir is to inform history, his friends, relatives, anyone interested, and the reader of his intent, motivation, and background, to make an intelligent judgement of his character, morals, and integrity.
