I've always lived in a world of stories. It wasn't a conscious decision to become a writer, but more a case of realizing these stories needed to be told. The characters, the scenarios, the strange "what ifs" that would swirl around in my head – they all demanded to be written down. I find myself working the mundane and absurd, I have to write to close the many loops in my head. So, I started putting pen to paper, or rather, fingers to keyboard. That’s how the semi-autobiographical stories, the speculative fiction, and the tales of historical figures with modern sensibilities all began to take shape. I wouldn't say I am a traditional storyteller, more of one to entertain, and hopefully give you an alternative to consider. I like to write: I want to share that perspective, and I suppose you could categorize the stories as a mix of short, semi-autobiographical fiction—which tends to be comical or satirical because, let's face it, life can be pretty absurd at times. I really like to work with speculative and steampunk novels, where I delve into sociopolitical parallels. It's fascinating to me, thinking about how the past or an imagined past, reflects the present. Lastly, I have stories about historical figures, I'm fascinated by the idea that people throughout history might have thought along similar lines as we do now.
