Robertson Work is an author, ecosystem/justice activist, founder of the Compassionate Civilization Collaborative (C3), and adviser to The Solutions Journal, and Planetary Human. He has worked in 55 countries for 52 years and was UNDP principal policy adviser on decentralized governance, NYU Wagner Graduate School of Public Service adjunct professor of innovative leadership, ICA executive director in three countries conducting community, organizational, and leadership development initiatives, senior Fulbright specialist, and fellow at the NYU Center for Leadership in Action. He and his wife live near Asheville, "Climate City," North Carolina, near family, friends, the Great Smoky Mountains, and the Blue Ridge Mountains. His previous book is A Compassionate Civilization: The Urgency of Sustainable Development and Mindful Activism. He has contributed to eleven other books.
