Ron Stokes
A former newspaper and online advertising executive, Ron Stokes won something like a bazillion awards during his 29-year career. They're now in a box in storage somewhere. He has always been accused of being a funny guy. Whether this accusation has merit or not has been the subject of prolonged debate, but that didn't stop him from writing this book. Stokes grew-up, so to speak, on Long Island in the sixties and seventies. He studied journalism at the University of South Carolina and worked for the likes of Morris, Gannett, Knight-Ridder and McClatchy. Stokes enjoys playing drums and guitar. He's also something of a trivia buff and is semi-athletic. He hopes you enjoy this collection of short stories about his childhood. But more importantly, he hopes your credit card is approved. While you're at it, why not purchase several copies? His book would be perfect for leveling uneven tables or as a gift for the friend that keeps sending you a fruitcake for Christmas.
