Scott Cherney
Born and bred like a fatted calf in Stockton, California, Scott Cherney has worn a lot of hats in his life and times, among them, a cowboy hat as a weekend gunslinger at the Pollardville Ghost Town.. He then moved over to the Palace Showboat Dinner Theater becoming a triple threat actor/writer/director of several melodrama/vaudeville stage productions. Cherney was also an award-winning stage actor and has appeared in such films as Omega Cop and Under Arrest. In 1987, Scott was the winner of the one and only Stockton Stand-Up Comedy Competition. His books include the road rage novel RED ASPHALT, the true travel tale PLEASE HOLD THUMBS, a collection of original comedy sketches called NOW THAT'S FUNNY, his movie memoir IN THE DARK and the western comedy entitled SONG OF THE CANYON KID. As a playwright, Scott has penned LA RUE'S RETURN (w/Edward Thorpe), SONG OF THE LONE PRAIRIE, THE LEGEND OF THE ROGUE, ROXANNE OF THE ISLANDS, DEAD TUESDAY and MURDER:THE FINAL FRONTIER.
