Michael Oliver-Goodwin splits his time between New Orleans and the Bay Area. He has published an unauthorized biography of Francis Coppola, a hot-pepper cookbook, and countless restaurant and music reviews. He was an almost-founding editor of Rolling Stone, and its first film critic. He wrote the narration for Les Blank's film on Werner Herzog, Burden Of Dreams, chosen as Best Feature-Length Documentary of 1983 by the British Film Academy. His radio show Black Shadow Tapeworks ran for more than a decade on KPFA-FM in Berkeley. He produced two calypso CDs for Rounder Records. And he appeared before the camera (in very small roles) in Rock 'n' Roll High School and Eating Raoul.
