Originally from Ontario, Canada, Sheilah has been living and working in Jamaica for more than a decade. Her work as a graphic designer and multi-media visual artist continues to be appreciated internationally. But her personal joy is teaching young children. Her new book grew from her work in the classroom. It includes fascinating line drawings of not only endemic Jamaican birds, but others the children may also encounter in town, at the beach and in the country.
