A resident of Santa Fe, NM since 1981, Stan Berning is a former gallery owner, teacher, author, and well known artist.  Active for 30 years in Santa Fe's rich cultural scene, his works have been exhibited in such diverse locations as San Francisco, Paris, and New York's Lincoln Center.  In 2005 his paintings became the focus of the Campbell Scott directed film OFF THE MAP starring Joan Allen and Sam Elliott.
