Story leGaïe is a genocide scholar, writer, and multidisciplinary artist based in California. As the creator of Genospectra: Framework Theorem for Deconstructing the Genocide Spectrum, they analyze the structural mechanisms of genocide, exposing how power sustains and erases targeted populations. Their books—including Saftar and The Coin—explore survivorhood, systemic violence, and decolonial resistance. A divorced mother of five adult children and a grandparent, Story’s lived experience informs their work on resilience, oppression, and justice. They are also a dedicated cat companion, sharing their home with three feline troublemakers.
