Valerie Claussen was born in Southern California, the middle child of six siblings raised by her Irish-American Grandmother. She grew up loving music and was always active in the performing arts, whether singing in a choir or appearing in musicals, plays, films, commercials, and a comedy web series. She writes fantasy, horror, young adult, new adult, fiction, sci-fi novels, and screenplays. Her interests include themed parties, music, live theater, the ocean, astronomy, and environmental studies.
