New York native Jonathan Hall is an organist, music teacher, and writer of note. He is active in the American Guild of Organists, for which some of the essays and poetry in this collection were originally written. He has advanced degrees in literature and in music, and is in demand as a workshop leader, adjudicator, and recitalist.
