Dr. Chandra Sekhar Devulapalli, MD, PhD, is a consultant pediatrician, researcher, educator, and author with nearly four decades of experience in clinical medicine, teaching, and scientific research. He earned his PhD in Pediatric Pulmonology from the University of Oslo, Norway, and has published more than sixty scientific articles in international medical journals. His professional interests include child health, nutrition, respiratory medicine, physiology, and the biological foundations of health and disease. Throughout his career, Dr. Devulapalli has sought to understand not only how the human body functions, but also how health, illness, healing, development, aging, and human experience are interconnected. Years of caring for children and families have shaped his interest in the resilience, vulnerability, and remarkable adaptive capacity of human life. His books span medicine, physiology, health, science, consciousness, and philosophy. They include The Body: The Life Within, The Walking Life: A Physician’s Reflections, Vitamin D in Childhood: From Biology to Clinical Practice, Silence Is the Self: A Vedāntic Realization, and From Quanta to Vedānta: Bridging Science to Oneness.
