There are many books written of the Japanese long sword, the Katana, as well as the Japanese Tanto or knife. However, this is the first book that deals specifically with the use of the Japanese Wakizashi or short sword. This manual covers basic grips, drawing techniques, postures and numerous cutting and thrusting techniques using the Wakizashi. This also covers two-person drills, kata and basic use of the two-sword system. The author has been involved in numerous martial arts, including Judo, Jujitsu, Karate, Kobudo, Kenjutsu, Tanto Jutsu and Wakizashi Jutsu for more than forty-five years. He is the founder (Soke) of Bushi Satori Ryu, and teaches Jujitsu, Karate (Shotokan Style), Kobudo, Police Control Tactics and numerous martial art and police weapons. This is the official manual for students of Bushi Satori Ryu who are learning Kenjutsu, Tanto Jutsu and Wakizashi Jutsu.
