This is an 8-page quick reference for the SYCL 1.2 API. SYCL for OpenCL enables developers to write in a “single-source” style using completely standard C++ code. SYCL includes templates and lambda functions for higher-level application software that can be cleanly coded for acceleration on the wide range of heterogeneous OpenCL 1.2 devices. SYCL single-source programming enables host code and kernels to be in the same source file, using the same templates for both, providing a higher-level model than using OpenCL directly, but without losing performance. Developers can program at a higher level than OpenCL C, but always have access to the hand-tuned performance of OpenCL when necessary with seamless integration with existing OpenCL programs, C/C++ libraries and frameworks such as OpenMP.
