In His Names

Throughout the Old Testament from the book of Genesis to the book of Malachi, God revealed Himself to His children, the Israelites through His names. He took every opportunity presented and made available by problems and challenges facing His children to reveal Himself with a new name that directly meets those challenges and solves those problems. In each and every one of His names, He shows Himself true to us by answering our petitions in those names. God is simply waiting to prove Himself to us as our Jehovah Jireh - our provider, our Jehovah Rophe - our healer, our Jehovah Rohe - our shepherd, our Jehovah Tsidkenu - our righteousness, our Jehovah Nissi - our banner, our Jehovah Shalom - our peace, our Jehovah Qadesh - our sanctifier and in several other ways. God's names are not just there for us to praise Him with; we are to immerse ourselves in those names and use those names to achieve our God given purposes and live right and fulfilling lives.
