Badger Watch

The disappearance of a young student in late 2007 in the small Gloucestershire market town of Boxtall sparks off an investigation which tries Detective Chief Inspector Larry Langford to the limit, both professionally and emotionally. The body of a missing girl is discovered and it is confirmed she had been killed by the same weapon used in two other murders of policemen on the same day of her death. The case seems to be spiralling out of the control of DCI Langford. In a series of twists and turns the story goes back to a thirty-year old murder in the same town before culminating in a violent and unorthodox conclusion, which almost ends the lives of Larry Langford and his wife Carol.
