His symbol is the whale and he boasts about swallowing schools. He has taught in all grades, including college courses. He writes: The science of poetry is quite unique; It's the gathering of thoughts to build a fleet; To invade the shores of conclusions weak; Of those who can't see but sometimes peak; Poet, Henry Van Dyke describes him in his poem The Unknown Teacher when he says"famous educators plan new systems but it is the unknown teacher who delivers and guides the young.
