LA 7002 Spring 2009 Design Studio

The Spring 2009 first year graduate studio at the Louisiana State University Robert Reich School of Landscape Architecture studied the intersection of I-10 and Perkins Road and created proposals that focused on reclaiming the area underneath the interstate. The students embarked on several research topics in order to understand site phenomena, responsive technologies, and site programming. The studio also conducted weekly site observations in order to document the temporal and ephemeral qualities of the site.
