Girl On A Bridge

The Albertine canal runs alongside Formosa Park for much of its short length of just over a mile, with three locks. It has long been a popular, though expensive, mooring for houseboats. At the south end of Formosa Park, a roadbridge crosses the canal, although very few cars ever use this route since the bypass opened. It is May and the air is fragrant with blossom of hawthorn and rhododendron. The bustle of the city is filtered by the many overhanging branches of chestnut, beech and laburnum.
