Mitochondrial diseases affect at least 1 in every 4,000. Because these diseases have only recently been recognized and diagnosable by the medical community, many individuals are misdiagnosed or go undiagnosed. I am on a mission to raise awareness of mitochondrial diseases. My book details our family struggle with mito.
