Phaintings™

Artist Christofer Aven offers the viewer an interpretive journey of her abstracts containing healing symbols and faces seen in many of her unique creations. Her artistic phases have culminated in her newest body of work, Phaintings™. She describes it this way: “These are digital photos of my original paintings. The digital photos are taken while the paint is still wet. I use charcoals, watercolors, acrylics, oils, and whatever else is handy. Only the digital images remain, as the painting surface is too saturated and doesn’t hold up. I love watching the paints run and create new and exciting patterns.
