From the author: When I wrote this "creed," I had no thoughts of publishing it. I was navigating an extremely difficult season in life, and I realized how reactive I'd become to the circumstances and people I encountered each day. I wrote this creed to speak aloud to myself each morning, with the expectation that what I declared would help me align my thoughts and actions with living as the person I choose to be—not out of duty but from the desire to remain true to my core self and values. Each morning, I found a secluded space—which was sometimes a bathroom—and when feasible, an outside stroll. In the moment that followed, I spoke this creed aloud. I focused on the truth of the words I declared. And I felt more human, more alive, each day. I shared this creed with friends and colleagues during meaningful conversations. The words resonated with them and many requested a copy. They believed decreeing these statements would be powerful in their own journeys. I am grateful to now share this creed with you. I hope for you to live each day as the creator you are created to be—fully human, fully alive.
