Über darrell

Darrell Buxton is an experienced freelance interviewer, editor, movie screenplay writer, critic, and lecturer who has been writing and teaching about film since the 1980s. He was presented with the Society of Fantastic Films International Award in 2017. Darrell has edited books on British horror movies of the 1960s and the 1980s, as well as the acclaimed 'Short Sharp Shocks', the first major study of short supporting horror films made and released in the UK. He is a regular guest interviewer at HorrorConUK in Sheffield and at the Festival of Fantastic Films in Manchester, handling q&a sessions with major names (having interviewed the likes of Dario Argento, Sid Haig, Dee Wallace, Edith Scob, etc). Darrell co-wrote the 2018 film Ouijageist, and contributed to the screenplay of the notorious 2020 release 5G Zombies. Darrell took over stewardship of the BHF Book of Horror Stories series with volume three in 2020.
