Darkside of the Planet

A collection of short stories written by new American author Dave Lee Jones. The stories selected for this compendium survey David’s range of literary skill. The reader rides a bumpy road of scenery from science fiction to period pieces to modern horror. Each work is a product of an extremely creative mind. His mind seems to compete with itself to formulate unexpected events and plot twists making finishing each story in one sitting compulsory. David has a knack for how conversations evolve and how word choice allows glimpses into the characters thoughts and true nature. Insightful dialog adds a depth to great story telling and is an earmark of great writing. David also uses conversational tones to manage the pace of each story further crafting the readers experience and luring them to the stories usually violent end. Each page of the work of this young new writer is a stab, if you will, at a very bright future. Dr. Daniel Norris, IT Professor, University of South Carolina
