David Michael Schmidt, artist,poet,entrepreneur. David is 69 as of May 5, 2011. Born In Winnetka Illinois and attended a commercial art school and then worked briefly for a commercial art studio until he enlisted in the U.S. Naval Air reserves at a time when there was a draft. This was during the Vietnam War and David was trying to avoid winding up in some foreign jungle killing people he didn't know. David went to a Catholic grammar school and was an altar boy but at the age of 16 knew that the Catholic religion was not for him and no religion was of any interest. David knew there was no evidence that supported any organized religious dogma and realized early on that is was all a bunch of B.S. David was a successful clothing store owner in Aspen, Co. for 20 years. and also owned 6 other stores of various types including a hardware store and a toy shop. David liked putting stores together and designing them. Now David is trying to engage in a writing and drawing career late in life.
