Über Denise Rae Krueger

Denise Rae Krueger is a devoted family historian and genealogist with a deep passion for preserving the stories of the past. She is the author of twelve in-depth family history books, each exploring a different branch of her sons’ ancestral lines. These meticulously researched volumes trace generations of real lives and are rich in historical context. While especially valuable to relatives and descendants—often numbering in the hundreds or thousands—they also offer insights for anyone interested in the communities and regions where these families lived. Readers with roots in those same towns, counties, or migration routes may find surprising connections and familiar names. Her published family histories focus on the Aldahl, Aschbrenner, Christianson, Estes, Fawcett, Krueger, McCall, Meyer, Miller, Phillips, Stemson, and other families, with roots in the American Colonies, Norway, and Germany. As “Grandma Denise,” she also brings history to life for a younger audience. Her growing collection of children’s books is inspired by true stories from her own family’s past. Written with love and a sense of fun, each tale offers young readers a window into the adventures (and occasional misadventures) of earlier times. Whether or not you’re related, these stories will resonate with children, parents, and grandparents alike.
