Denyin Joss is looking for his son who has been missing for a bit over a year, however, that isn't the story that he told his young landlady, Randi Connors when he asked to rent the room in her home. Denyin told Randi that he was from Europe, and that he came to America to find work. Randi was immediately captivated by Denyin's good looks and offered him the room on the spot. One person who he did tell the truth was to Randi's older brother, Jesse. Despite the ship's Vintox, VON, who was concerned that Denyin let Jesse, a fellow human, be allowed to help in the search for his missing son, Kurrin. A friendship between Denyin and Jesse quickly formed; Randi is forced to realize the truth about Denyin and Kurrin’s origin, and unknown involvement with the company that Kurrin works for, and that of a covert Government agency who wishes to speak with Denyin.
