Nevada Gold

Early in his life, Josh Bennett is faced with the horror of an abusive stepfather. The relentless beatings prompts his mother to sneak him away one night rather than live with the fear that one day he might be killed. The only real escape from a dangerous situation comes by a gold miner who changes the boy’s last name and takes him west to Nevada and a new life at the Spur Mine. Josh makes new friends in Nevada and his promise to a dying man and his eventual partnership in a gold mine presents the challenges of raising a family and surviving in the mining business.
